New Kits, New Pages

K Studio has the cutest stinking kits, as my sister would say! I found this one the other day and knew it would be a perfect fit for my tween neice, Sally. She has so much fun with her friends, and I thought in the future these pictures would be fun for her to remember.

This kit is named Silly, available at Catscrap, one of my favorite digi shops. Here's the preview of the kit:

Creashens is also another favorite digi designer - and she has done a fabulous kit called Reasons. Also available at Catscrap, this kit is wonderful with its muted colors and variety of options. Here's the page I did of Payton a few days ago at Christmas:

There are so many reasons I love this baby girl - and she has such a personality!

P.S....Creashens has a completely impressive gallery - just click here. Really worth a look!

Getting Close to Christmas!

Today I am getting out and doing my last bit of shopping. Christmas is almost here! I can't wait to see Payton open her presents and be with my family. We'll be up at 6:00 AM and at my sister's house to see the kids see what Santa brought, then Bill and I will be off to the country to his dad's family Christmas. A long day but always so good to see everyone.

I have found two more great Christmas kits - and hope you enjoy them as well as your holiday!

The first one is Santa Rocks by Lindsey Riches and Laura Banasiak at Scrap Orchard. I just love this kit and think it was perfect with Payton's picture I took of her at her daycare Christmas Party!

I can't wait to see what other possibilities await with this kit - it's so much fun! I will definately use this one again when I snap my Christmas Morning pics!

Till Tomorrow,

Finally.................Some Time To Scrap :)

One of my best friends had neck surgery and I've been playing "nurse Betty" all weekend. I thought I would have time to scrap but I really did have to be nurse. Not that I minded - she's one of my most favorite people. But, today I did have time to do a couple of pages (yay)! And, here they are:

This great kit is named Blink of an Eye and it's a collabe from Traci Reed and Kristen Crowe Barrow of Sweet Shoppe Designs. Here's the complete kit preview:

Isn't it just scrumptious? I love this kit and look forward to using it often!

And, here's another page from a Holiday Kit that I couldn't resist!

Snowglobe Santa is a kit by Tracey Monette and is available at 9th and Bloom. Here's the complete preview:

Have a wonderful Monday! Until Tomorrow,

Inspiration

Well, poo. I left my external hard drive at work today and have no digi scrap kits. So, with nothing to scrap now here I sit. And I began to think about the secret to really good scrapping, digital or paper. It's the photo. I've been working on my photos recently, and have invested in the coolest editing program I've ever seen - Adobe Lightroom 3.

It has made a world of difference in my pictures, making good ones better and bad ones, well, publishable (is that a word? LOL) I highly recommend anyone who scraps to invest in this great program! Here are some of my lightroom-edited pics:

These were taken in Destin, Florida this past June. And edited with lightroom. Oh, by the way there are a few photography blogs I would like to share:
Pioneer Woman - Awesome photo tips on this site as well as tutorials on tons of Photoshop Elements Actions! I read this every day.
The Quiet Life - Donna Bouchet has fantastic skills and talent. And she also has wise words. Check out her blog. I promise you won't be disappointed.
Simply Bloom Photography - Wow. Amazing wedding photographers.

There are more to come - check out the Photography links on the right hand side of my blog. Hope you enjoyed the pics of the beach................wish I was there right now (sigh).

Till Tommorrow,

More Christmas Fun!

OK, so I've gone a bit overboard buying Christmas kits. It is the shopping season after all (LOL). But I just love them! And, I have pics from last Christmas to scrap, scrap, scrap!

Today I am applying for Traci Reed's design team. She has always been one of my favorite fun designers (and trust me there are few) and she's having a design team call! If I've been a really good scrapper maybe "Santa" will pick me! Cross your fingers everyone!

Here are a few more Christmasy delights that I've done. I'm making a hardbound book for my immediate family members for Christmas of the scrap pages I've created this year. These will be included. Oh and yes, snapfish is getting their light bill paid by me this Christmas.

This one is of Payton, my most favorite subject since I'm such a proud grandmother! It's from Bellagypsy at Elemental Scraps. It's called Trim the Tree. Just click on the colored link and you'll find it!

Oh, and while you're in her shop, most of her kits are only $2.00!!! Whoo Hoo! I am loving me a bargain on some scrappin' kits (doing the happy dance)!!!!!

The next one is of Ashley, my daughter and of course Payton. This kit is named Peace on Earth and is a joint effort between Penny Springman and Tickled Pink Studio at Little Dreamer Designs.

And one more for today.........then some blog sprucing up to do. It may shock some of you that not EVERYTHING I scrap is of a "fun" nature. Occasionally I dig deep and really try to do something very pretty. Here's an example of my effort:

This kit is named Christmas Eve Party and was created by eqrAveziur Designs at digitalscrapbookingstudio.com.

Well it's off to do some blog maintenance and then hopefully to bed before midnight tonight! Have a wonderful day tomorrow and remember...........you only get one chance at life - have no regrets.

'Tis The Season

Welcome everyone to my new blog, devoted entirely to my latest passion digital scrapbooking. I am having so much fun with Christmas Kits! As whimsical as I am, I have found several that I hope you enjoy. I will post the links where you can purchase these below. All of these feature my family, especially my granddaughter Payton.

I've decided to apply for a few creative teams (crossing fingers). I now have the time to devote to it, and since I'm scrapping anyway I might as well do it for a few of my favorite designers!

Anywho, here are some of my latest creations. Hope you enjoy!

The kit above is Tinseltown by Amy Harrison Design Studios. You can find her kit here - just click on the link! So fun with non-traditional colors, I am really enjoying this one. at

Here's another one of my faves this year:

This is a kit named Letter to Santa by Anna BV Designs. She is at Scraporchard, which is fast becoming one of my favorite places, although I have several on my list (see favorite Digi Scrap Shops on the right). Again, I love the non traditional colors in red, brown and aqua! So cool, huh?

And one more piece of work for the day............hmmmmm let's see which one?

This is a picture of my daddy and granddaughter last Christmas with a kit called Merry and Bright by Dunia Designs at Digiscrap Brazil, another one of my fave kit shops! This shop in particular really seems to be on the "cutting edge" of digital scrapping. So many designers and choices! And Lots of them fun and funky! I love this kit because it features traditional Christmas colors but is so fresh and crisp!

Hope you've enjoyed my scrapping and previews.
Till tomorrow,
